Feed your crickets vegetables and fruits with a high nutritional level and a dust them with a supplement that includes multi-vitamins. When using crickets for your main lizard food, drop them into your lizard habitat while they are still alive, so the lizards can hunt them, as they would do in the wild. Don’t put in more crickets than your lizards will eat, or they will die and decompose, which will foul the habitat.

If you feed your lizards mice or other rodents, use frozen specimens only, because a vicious rodent can actually attack your lizards.

Sometimes lizards in the wild will eat fish, so you can include them as an occasional type of lizard food. Feed your lizards only freshwater fish, because saltwater fish can have a high salt contact that is not healthy for the lizards to consume.
